IE 7

I downloaded and installed IE7 Beta.
Firstly, I lost my IE icon, so the only way to get on line is to go to word
and create a hyperlink.
I do this and I get an error, an unexpected error has occurred.
Can anyone help?

Go to Display in Control Panel.
Click on Desktop and then Customize Desktop
Make sure Internet Explorer is ticked off and then
hit Apply and OK. IE icon should be back on desktop
